Law Courts Inn

Situated inside the famous Arthur Ericksen Law Courts building in downtown Vancouver is/was 'The law Courts Inn', a dining/meeting/

wedding space for lawyers and judges to dine and have quiet, private and confidential conversations. 

Isometrix Design Inc. was hired to give it some new life.

 

There are two entrances into this space on two different levels. A mural of the old law courts building (now The Vancouver Art Gallery) was commissioned to enhance the accessible entrance, as well as a specially designed platform to display the antique table -  a gift from Middle Temple, one of the inns of Court in London.

At the main entrance on the lower level, a specially designed donor recognition wall and Shakespeare.

Sadly, we report that the province has since taken back this lovely space to the chagrin of the Law Society.
